London Shopping Walk

London has some world famous shopping streets and shops that make it arguably the number one destination to shop in the world!! 

Highlights:........... Shopaholics be warned!!!!

Famous Shops: Harrods, Harvey Nichols, Selfridges, Liberty London, Hamleys, Hatchards, Fortnum and Mason, Lilywhites

Famous Shopping Streets: Sloane Square (Kings Road), Oxford Street, Regent Street, Carnaby Street, Savile Row, Burlington Arcade, Jermyn Street, 

Attractions: Saatchi Gallery, Hyde Park, Royal Academy of the Arts, Piccadilly Circus

What you need to know 

  • Opening hours for shops Mon-Sat are generally around 10am-8pm but on Sundays12-6pm.
  • Saatchi Gallery opens around 10am every day unless closed getting ready for an exhibition. So website to see they are open.
  • Think about breaking up the day buy enjoying a traditional Afternoon Tea (Harrods, Fortnum & Mason are wonderful for this if you have cash to splash)
  • Wear comfortable shoes.........don't have any.......Selfridges has the best selection in London.
  • You don't to know this but Harrod's (once sold a Lion google it and cry in a good way), Hamleys (was originally known as Noah's Ark) and Fortnum and Mason (Invented the Scotch Egg!) 

Money Saving Tip

  • If visiting London from outside the EU you can reclaim VAT (20%) on your purchases. More here 
  • There are great sales from Boxing Day right through to January
  • Don't do this walk it is too dangerous!!!
