Finding IT Jobs in London

Strategy for finding IT work

There are plenty of IT job opportunities in London, it is just a matter of knowing how and where to find them or knowing how to be found online by recruiters.

In demand candidates: You won't need a strategy just place your CV on the websites listed below and be prepared to answer the phone on a regular basis.
Candidates dealing with a high level of competition:

- Only apply to roles in which your experience is truly relevant.

- Follow up Cv's sent: recruiters can be flooded with CV's but very few people follow up, if you do so than your name will be on the recruiters mind and it is a chance to impress them or find out information that can push your case.

- When applying to advertised roles make sure you alter your CV to ensure it is easily recognised as relevant for the role when recruiters are scrolling through applicants CV's. You can do this by creating a bullet pointed "key Skills and Experience" section on your CV and matching your skills with the requirements of the job description.
