Finding Child Care/Nannying/Baby Sitting Jobs in London

Strategy for finding childcare work

There are a lot of opportunities to work in Childcare whether it be working for a nursery or a family. You will often need two references of working with children and and to pass a CRB check (Criminal Records Bureau).

For Nanny roles use a mix of jobsites and recruitment agencies to source work and do the same with nurseries but don't ignore the option to approach nurseries direct for work. Baby Sitting work can be sourced online, through agencies and also networking and self marketing at schools and other local community groups.

Approaching companies directly & networking

Nursery Work: Research where your local nurseries are and apply directly to them for work.

Baby Sitting Work: People will often ask family and friends for possible babysitters. Use connections you may have with local sports/community groups to inform them you could be interested in this type of work. Put adverts up around local schools and consider getting business cards to leave at shops related to children e.g toy shops, babywear, grocery stores etc.
