Syon Park is opposite Kew Gardens on the other side of the Thames and includes interesting gardens,a butterfly enclosure and historic mansion. A great day of entertainment for the kids.

Battersea Park

Bordering the Thames, Battersea Park boasts a lake for fishing (must obtain permit) and row boating, a children’s zoo, gallery and excellent facilities for sport. The park also runs music concerts and barbecues during the summer.

Greenwich Park

Greenwich Park has a lot of attractions that make it well worth visiting. There is interesting wildlife, a site for Roman ruins, lovely gardens, an excellent playground and of course there is the Royal Observatory and National Maritime Museum.

Wimbledon/Putney Common

The home of the Wombles is massive parkland that borders Putney, Wimbledon and consisting of lots of wildlife, ponds, nature trails and sporting facilities including a golf course. It's an excellent site for Horse riding.

Kew Gardens

Kew Gardens known as the Royal Botanical Gardens, is an attractive park of extensive gardens and botanical glasshouses based on the river Thames in Kew. The park is ideal for those passionate about flora and fauna.

Clapham Common

Is a large triangular park boasting a few ponds, band stand, home to many sports and fitness fanatics and a great number of events such as SW4 held there during the summer. Sun bathers flock there when when the sun is shining before heading out afterwards

Richmond Park

Richmond park is a massive park that borders Roehampton, Kingston, Wimbledon Common and Richmond. The park consists of numerous ponds and excellent wildlife, highlighted by an abundance of roaming deer. As a tourist there is not much to see.

Kensington Gardens

Kensington Gardens is a pleasant refuge from central London. Highlights include the Italian gardens, Princess Diana memorial playground and massive pond. Suggestion: Come here sun bake at the Lake and take a stroll through the Italian gardens.

St James Park (Buckingham Palace)

Home to Buckingham Palace and a very impressive lake. Wildlife includes pelicans, ducks and swans. This park is another which is great for a picnic. Suggestion: You must come here and watch the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace.

Regents Park
