West End Pub Crawl

The perfect evening experience for visitors to London

Our pub crawl takes you to 6 must visit pubs and bars in the West End while passing famous landmarks and areas, starting at Piccadilly Circus passed Leicester Square through to Covent Garden and then onto the Thames where you can finish the night having a drink overlooking some of London's iconic sights such as Big Ben and the London Eye.

The West End Pub Crawl

To start get off at Piccadilly Circus tube and walk from Coventry Street towards Leicester Square. Turn left down Rupert Street.

Waxy O'Connors Irish Pub (Exceptional maze like Irish pub, charming and with a 250 year old tree in the middle of it!)

From Rupert Street turn left back onto Coventry street and walk back towards and passed Leicester Square. The street will veer right and become Garrick Lane where on the left you will see a skinny street called Rose Street where you will see the Lamb and Flag at the end.

The Lamb and Flag (Cosy and historic British Pub established in 1772 and once known as the Buckets of Blood)

Walk back down Rose Street turn left down Garrick Street and the next left at King Street. The first right at King Street is where you will see a piazza where buskers perform. Look up and you will see the Punch and Judy pub overlooking this piazza.

Punch and Judy (Iconic Covent Garden pub where you can have a drink on a balcony overlooking buskers performing below in the famous piazza)

Walking out of the Punch and Judy pub and looking towards the church and in front of where buskers perform walk left and turn right at Henrietta Street. Walk down turning left Bedford Street and then the first right up Maiden Lane where about ten metres to your right you will see the Porterhouse.

Porterhouse (Modern Irish pub with a great beer selection, live music and interesting and dynamic interior)

From the Porterhouse turn left down Maiden Lane and then left again at Bedford street. Walk all the way down to the strand where you turn right. Walk down towards Charring Cross station turning left just before at Villiers Street. Walk down about 100 metres where you will see Gordon's Wine Bar. The entrance is down the alleyway/beer garden on your left called Watergate Walk.

Gordon's Wine Bar (London's oldest wine bar, with a cave like romantic interior)

Walk towards the Thames passed the Embankment tube station and then turn right onto Victoria Embankment, walk about 150 metres where you should see the Tattershall Castle permanently docked on the side of the Thames.

Tattershall Castle (A boat converted into a pub overlooking famous landmarks on the Thames)

This is the place pictured above and a great place to end up. If you finish here to head home - walk back towards Gordon's Wine Bar where you can catch a Northern, District or Circle line train from Embankment station.

Alternative last place to have a drink and party...

Players Bar and Lounge (A tired and worn bar but where you can have a fun traditional British Piano Sing a Long)

Walk back towards Gordon's Wine Bar and 10-15 metres passed it where you will see a small lane and the Charing Cross Theatre. You will see Players Bar there!
