1. Glastonbury (24th-28th June)

Location: Pilton, Somerset

One of the most legendary festivals in the world, it is hard to believe it started out in 1970 and tickets were £1. Icons such as Stevie Wonder, David Bowie, The Killers and Stormzy have graced the stage since. The grounds also have multiple forms of entertainment from the Arcadia stage which boasts a megasize spider-like structure which hosts electro raves to circus themed cabaret and immersive theatre

2. Boomtown (12th-14th August)

Location: Matterley Estate, Ovington

An alternative festival featuring a range of electo, hip-hop and techno

Each festival every year carries a storyline and is referred to as a ‘chapter’. Underground music in a visually spectacular venue, it fuses together art and culture for a trippy experience. Artists such as M.I.A, Cypress Hill and The Specials have performed there

3. Lovebox (June 12th-14th)

Location: Gunnersbury Park

The festival for fans of urban music – headliners such as Chance the Rapper, Kaytranada and H.E.R have all performed there. Bringing you vintage carnival vibes, the festival consists of several fairground rides, bowling area, vintage fashion and multiple food and drink places. The multidimensional aspects mean there is something for everyone

4. Download festival (20th March)

Location: Donnington Park

Focusing on rock and metal, this festival promises to deliver for the fans of alternative music. The biggest names in rock themed metusic have performed such as Kiss, Iron Maiden and Def Leppard. It’s not just the music that makes the festival though,  a circus of horrors, Air guitar championship and metal movies, you’ll be spoilt for choice

5. Reading and Leeds festival (28th-30th August)

Location: Bramham Park/Richfield Avenue

Set on Bank Holiday Weekend in August, this festival boasts a deluxe festival site with multiple stages catering to every type of music fan. Homegrown local bands to global headliners, this festival really does promise a diverse and talent led group of performers. There is also a secret act every year.  There are several food and fashion stalls, multiple types of campsites for the ones who wish to slum it in a tent to the people who like to live in luxury.

6. Camden rocks (30th May-1st June)

Location: Camden

This festival happens in 20 different venues across Camden so you'll have a variety of musical experiences. You’ll get a chance to check out Camden’s nightlife as well as the newest and oldest contenders in rock music.

7. Creamfields (9th May)

Location: Daresbury Estate, Cheshire

8. Wilderness festival (30th July-2nd August 2020)

Location: Cornbury Park

A choice for the chilled out festival goers. Set in Oxford, it’s a posh gathering which involves a banquet, performances of Shakespeare plays, yoga, a spa and lots of calm and peaceful activities that don’t involve hedonism and hardcore raving. 9. Isle of Wight (11th June-14th June)

Location: Isle of Wight

Iconic headliners such as David Bowie, The Rolling Stones and Snow Patrol have performed at this majestic festival which consists of many alternative and mainstream artists of rock, pop and dance. Banned in 1970, it reopened its gates in 2002. Beyond the festival there are lots of activities on the island such as kayaking, sailing, horse riding and lots more if you want to extend your festival experience into a mini holiday
