The Best Bars in London to go to for Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest originates in Bavaria, Germany and is held annually in Munich attracting around 6 million people every year. It runs for 16-18 days starting in late September and running through to the first Sunday in October. It starts on the 21st September this year and if you're not able to get to Munich don't worry you can enjoy the party in London!

See below for our top picks of venues to celebrate Oktoberfest in London this year...

Stein's

Stein's have 3 venues in London - Kingston, Richmond (pictured) and the newest addition Kensington. In Stein's Kingston you feel like you are still on you alpine holiday - inside this Victorian river cottage it looks like an alpine log cabin. Stein's Richmond is the original Bavarian beer garden on the banks of the river Thames and Stein's Berlin in Kensington on Exhibition road is the urban version of a German restaurant - chique yet relaxed and cosy. Main feature is a huge recycled church bell in front of the bar! The terrace at the back of the building is a hidden gem - tranquil views of huge trees in Princes Gardens.

For Oktoberfest they have two main events happening at the Kensington branch on Saturday 21st September, which includes Oktoberfest Party Dance party with Oktoberfest classics in Dirndl and Lederhosen dress! ...and a traditional style sit down Oktoberfest in our Stein's Kingston branch on the 9th October. Check their website for full details and to make bookings.
